Somebody asked you to "just hold this" and you went home and designed a 12-part apparatus. This is the patent drawing: a sandwich clamped in a gusseted steel frame with a handwheel, ACME lead screw, springs, a compliant crust pad, a load cell, a squish gauge and an emergency release, all called out with patent lead lines and a parts list.
